TV Commercial: Gauntlet II
Gauntlet II

Here we have an ad for Mindscape's Gauntlet II. In this spot we find a young gamer who's enjoying the arcade coin-op so much he wants it in his home. He actually loads the arcade machine in his wagon and tries to pull it up a steep hill. Naturally he loses his grip on the handle and the wagon starts rolling downhill. The boy manages to catch up to the arcade machine and rides it downhill until he bumps into a dirt mound and flies through a billboard. A billboard advertising the very NES cart of the same name. I guess the message is if you want Gauntlet at home, just buy the NES game (seriously, it is a good port).

"Wow, it sure would be neat to play this at home." Portable gaming has a whole new meaning. "How do you steer an arcade cabinet down a hill?"
Is this an ad for Gauntlet II or Paperboy? "Oh, I can just get the NES cart! Why didn't I think of that?"

This clip was recoreded by myself, and is hosted by The Warp Zone.
